Clara WEILL holds a Bachelor in Law awarded by the University of Fribourg in 2017. During her second year, she participated in the Swiss Moot Court, in which her team reached the second place in the final phase.

She also holds a Master in Law and Economics awarded by the University of Lausanne in 2019. In the course of her studies, she completed some internships within law firms, notably specialized in intellectual property, in Switzerland and Romania. Furthermore, she obtained the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Legal Profession in June 2019.

She joined the Law Firm as a trainee lawyer in February 2020.

Of French mother tongue, she also has good knowledge of English and German.

Noélie Rime studied at the University of Geneva. She holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Law awarded in 2017 and 2020. In the course of her Master’s degree, she completed an academic research internship in family law, under the supervision of the Prof. Papaux van Delden. Furthermore, she obtained the Certificate in Transnational Law and the Certificate of advanced studies in legal professions in 2018 and 2019.

In parallel, Noélie Rime worked as a legal and administrative assistant at a local private bank and volunteered as a paralegal in a legal advice service.

She joined the Law Firm as a trainee lawyer in August 2020.

Of French mother tongue, she also has good knowledge of English, German and Italian.

Soraya Lopez holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in law from the University of Geneva, awarded in 2018 and 2020.

In parallel to her studies, she worked as a volunteer lawyer at the Permanence juridique des étudiants.

During her Master’s degree, she spent a semester at the University of Valencia, in Spain. In addition, she completed a one-semester academic internship in a Geneva law firm, where she was subsequently hired as a legal and administrative assistant during her studies at the Law School.

After obtaining the Certificate of Specialisation in Law in September 2020, she joined the firm as a trainee lawyer in May 2021.

She is a native speaker of Spanish and French and has a good knowledge of English.


Serge Patek, born in 1968, completed all his studies in Geneva and obtained his law degree in 1996.
After practicing for more than 10 years in the real estate field, Serge Patek partnered with Mr. Thomas Barth in 2007.
He advises and assists both swiss and foreign, private and institutional clients, in particular in the judicial field
His usual activity takes place in the Canton of Geneva, as well as in the Canton of Vaud (Nyon, Lausanne, East Vaud and North Vaud), Valais and at the Federal Court.
Serge Patek’s areas of expertise are the following

  • – Lease law;
  • – Real estate law;
  • – Condominium ownership
  • – Sale, business, mandate and brokerage contracts;
  • – Inheritance law;
  • – Construction law
  • – Land-use planning
  • – Real estate acquisition by people in foreign countries
  • – Public procurement
  • – Rural property law

In addition, Serge Patek is an assessor judge at the Chamber of Leases and Rents of the Court of Justice. He has also been a municipal councilor for the city of Veyrier.


Thomas Barth, born in 1975, completed his school and university studies in Geneva and was admitted to the Bar in 2001.
He started working as an independent lawyer, then as a partner in a major law firm in Geneva, before opening his own law firm in 2006. Mr. Serge Patek joined him in 2007.

Thomas Barth is active on a daily basis, particularly in the following areas

  • – Family law (separation, divorce, parentage, succession);
  • – Medical law (errors to the prejudice of patients and their relatives, defense of private doctors);
  • – Administrative law, public service and land use planning;
  • – Labor law (employers and employees);
  • – Criminal law (victims, perpetrators);
  • – Contract law.

He also practices international arbitration in commercial matters, as lawyer, as arbitrator or as president of an arbitral tribunal.

His usual activity takes place in the Canton of Geneva, as well as in the Canton of Vaud (Nyon, Lausanne, East Vaud and North Vaud), Valais and at the Federal Court.

Thomas Barth is also a deputy judge at the Geneva Criminal Court since 2011.
He was municipal councilor of the city of Veyrier from 1999 to 2007 and then Mayor (and administrative councilor) of this municipality from 2007 to 2015.

Mélanie MARTINHO holds a Bachelor in Law awarded by the University of Geneva in june 2017.

She also holds a Master of Laws in Civil and Criminal Law from the same university, awarded in 2019. During her Master she did the transnational law program, awarding her with the Certificate in transnational law (CTL).

She joined the Law Firm as a trainee lawyer in August 2020.

Her mother tongues are French and Portuguese. She also has good knowledge of English and Spanish.
