Marie-Amélie GRILLAT holds a Bachelor’s degree in law and a Master’s degree in civil and criminal law, awarded by the University of Geneva in 2022 and 2023.
After obtaining the Certificat de spécialisation en matière d’avocat in July 2024, she joined the firm as a trainee lawyer on the 1st August 2024.
A native French speaker, she also has a good knowledge of English, Italian and German.
Bruna PIFFARETTI holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, awarded in October 2020, and a Master’s degree in Law (Magna cum laude), awarded in July 2022, both from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland.
As part of her academic journey, she spent a semester at the Georgetown Law Center for Transnational Legal Studies at King’s College London, United Kingdom. Alongside her studies, she gained practical experience through several internships at a law firm in Lugano, Switzerland.
After completing her Master’s degree, Bruna PIFFARETTI specialized in International Criminal Law, earning an LL.M. from the University of Leiden. She subsequently completed an internship at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands.
She obtained her Certificate of Specialisation in Bar Training in October 2024 and joined the firm as a trainee lawyer on July 11, 2024.
Her mother tongues are French, Italian, and Spanish. Bruna also has an excellent command of English and a good knowledge of German
Serge Patek, born in 1968, completed all his studies in Geneva and obtained his law degree in 1996.
After practicing for more than 10 years in the real estate field, Serge Patek partnered with Mr. Thomas Barth in 2007.
He advises and assists both swiss and foreign, private and institutional clients, in particular in the judicial field
His usual activity takes place in the Canton of Geneva, as well as in the Canton of Vaud (Nyon, Lausanne, East Vaud and North Vaud), Valais and at the Federal Court.

Thomas Barth, born in 1975, completed his school and university studies in Geneva and was admitted to the Bar in 2001.
He started working as an independent lawyer, then as a partner in a major law firm in Geneva, before opening his own law firm in 2006. Mr. Serge Patek joined him in 2007.
